Privacy policy

Your document data and website data are different

KissPDF performs PDF operations in your browser. The PDF or image you select is not intentionally sent to KissPDF, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity for document processing. Like most websites, KissPDF still receives ordinary web requests and uses analytics services.

Document data

Selected PDFs, images, document contents, and PDF passwords are read and processed in browser memory on your device. KissPDF does not provide a server-side document conversion API and does not intentionally upload or store those files.

The application code, fonts, WebAssembly modules, and other assets still have to be downloaded to your browser. Those normal web requests do not include the document you selected.

Do not treat local processing as a guarantee that a device, browser extension, network, or compromised browser is secure. Keep backups and avoid processing sensitive material on an untrusted device.

Website and usage data

When you visit the site, hosting infrastructure may process routine request information such as IP address, requested URL, time, user agent, and error or security logs. Retention and handling can depend on the hosting provider.

KissPDF uses Google Analytics to understand visits and feature usage. Google Analytics may process identifiers and cookies, sessions, approximate location, browser, device, and interaction information.

KissPDF also uses Microsoft Clarity to understand page interactions and diagnose usability problems. Clarity may record clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, page and diagnostic events, DOM state, and session playback data. Privacy-sensitive input fields are intended to be masked by Clarity.

Analytics must never be deliberately configured to capture PDF contents, filenames, passwords, or the bytes of a selected document. If you believe that has happened, contact us so we can investigate.

Cookies, storage, and your choices

  • Analytics services may use cookies or similar browser identifiers.
  • You can clear site data, block cookies, use tracking protection, or use a content blocker. Some site measurements may then be unavailable.
  • Closing or reloading the page normally clears in-memory document data, but downloaded outputs remain wherever your browser saved them.
  • Your browser and operating system may independently keep downloads, recent-file entries, caches, or temporary data.

Third-party services and links

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity process website usage data under their own terms and privacy documentation. Links to other sites are governed by those sites, not this policy.

Requests, corrections, and policy changes

Privacy rights vary by location. To ask what information may relate to you, request a correction or deletion where applicable, or report a privacy concern, email support@kisspdf.net. We may need enough information to verify and locate a request.

This policy may change when the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The review date above identifies the current version.
