KissPDF

Terms of use

Use the tools lawfully, and verify important outputs

These terms apply when you access or use KissPDF. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

The service

KissPDF provides browser-based tools for compressing, merging, splitting, extracting, removing, organizing, and rotating PDF pages; converting between PDFs and images; adding or removing known password protection; and creating inverted rendered copies.

Document processing is designed to happen locally in your browser. Website assets, hosting requests, and analytics are separate from document processing and are described in the Privacy Policy.

Authorized and acceptable use

You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only with documents you own or are authorized to process. In particular, you agree not to:

  • remove encryption or permissions from a PDF unless you know the password and have authority to do so;
  • use the service to infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights;
  • attack, disrupt, overload, scrape abusively, or attempt unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure;
  • introduce malware or use the service in connection with unlawful activity; or
  • misrepresent a modified output as an unchanged or officially signed original.

PDF output limitations

PDF processing can rewrite a document. Depending on the tool, an output may lose or change digital signatures, forms, links, bookmarks, scripts, layers, metadata, accessibility information, fonts, color profiles, image resolution, or searchability. Compression can reduce visual quality; inversion rasterizes pages; conversion creates a visual rendering rather than an editable reconstruction.

Browser memory, device performance, malformed files, encryption, and unsupported PDF features can cause a task to fail. Always keep the original and open the downloaded result to check page order, legibility, security settings, and any feature important to you before relying on it.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. KissPDF does not promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every browser or PDF, a particular compression ratio, preservation of every document feature, or fitness for a specific purpose.

You are responsible for your documents, backups, passwords, outputs, and decisions made using the service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, KissPDF and its maintainers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or opportunity arising from use of or inability to use the service. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes and contact

Features and these terms may change. Material revisions will be reflected on this page with a new update date. Continued use after a revision means the revised terms apply to later use.
