Can this extract links that are not clickable?
Yes. In addition to PDF link annotations, the tool searches selectable page text for HTTP, HTTPS, www, domain and email patterns.
Does it extract the visible anchor text?
When a PDF provides a link rectangle, KissPDF compares that rectangle with positioned text items and reports the overlapping visible words as anchor text.
Why is a result marked Possible?
The URL appears to continue across a PDF text-line boundary. It is shown for review rather than being presented as a guaranteed exact destination.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Only if the scan already has a selectable text layer. This tool does not run OCR on page images.
Can it extract links from a read-only PDF?
Usually, yes. Read-only or editing restrictions do not remove link annotations or selectable page text. Password-protected PDFs must still be opened before their contents can be inspected.
Are several links to the same domain merged?
No. Different complete destinations remain separate. Only normalized duplicate values are combined, with all matching page numbers retained.
What export formats are available?
TXT contains one value per line. CSV includes type, source, pages, anchor text, context and confidence. JSON preserves the full structured result.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. PDF parsing and link extraction run locally in browser memory.
